Simple Gifts is a volunteer program sponsored by the Inland Hospice Association. Simple Gifts is a program where people are invited to give to others a simple, often overlooked gift, the gift of human contact.
Simple Gifts is designed for those who are not able to meet their own needs due to age, illness, or disability. Volunteers in the Simple Gifts program provide human contact and support to a segment of people who find themselves needing a little outside help.
We offer:
- friendly home visitation
- caregiver respite
- telephone assistance
- fun field trips e.g. movies, or lunch
- help with meals and/or laundry
- local transportation
- shopping and errands
- minor household repairs
- sewing and more!
- reading and writing
- pet care
- yard work
- light cleaning
